To celebrate the International Women's Day and enrich the cultural life of female faculties and staff members, the School of the Arts organized a series of activities on March 6th.
In the morning, teacher Wang Yu was invited to host a smartphone photography training session, which covered theories of smartphone photography, focusing on aspects such as focus, aperture selection, grid line application, and composition methods, as well as useful techniques for capturing important moments while traveling and sightseeing.
In the afternoon, all female members of the School went to Mochou Lake Park for a spring outing and enjoying the flowers. In this early spring season, the dragon-shaped crabapple flowers along the lake were already in full bloom. The members strolled among the pavilions, terraces, and landscaped rocks and trees, admiring the blossoms and putting into practice the photography skills they had learned. Afterward, they gathered at the square in front of the Baoyue Tower for free outdoor activities.
This celebration aims at helping the female faculty members to cultivate their sentiments through photography and to relax during the spring outing, inspiring them to contribute more women’s power to the high-quality development of our university.
