On March 1st, the School of Public Administration held an Emerging Faculty Academic Salon to strengthen the construction of research teams and to enhance the research capabilities of new faculty members.

To begin with, Dr. An Shi delivered a lecture on Theory and Application Research on Watershed Spatial Coupling, introducing the internal mechanisms, evaluation models, and resource applications of watershed spatial coupling. She also shared the origins of her research topic, the shift in theoretical perspectives, the technical routes to advance research, and the directions for deepening the research around the application for National Natural Science Foundation projects.

In the exchange session, Dr. Li Zhangchao and Dr. Li Ruoyu introduced their preparations, main challenges faced, and future directions for high-level project applications. Senior faculty members such as Zhu Wenjing, Luo Zhengyan, and Ma Lijun offered suggestions for the issues encountered by the doctoral researchers and shared their own experiences.

Vice Dean Yu Xiaojun concluded that the academic salon is a valuable opportunity for communication. New faculty members should reinforce interaction, inspire each other through exchanges, and aim for academic innovation; they should focus on social governance, continuously improve research direction, self-planning, and team awareness to produce more high-quality research results.
