In order to show the learning results of professional courses and improve the quality and efficiency of teaching, the School of Art held a series of course exhibitions of Intangible Cultural Heritage handmade on the sixth floor of the complex building of Dinghuaimen Campus.

The works on display are all from the students learning the course Plastic Material Design and Production in the Image Art Department of the School of Art. They are head ornaments made of intangible cultural heritage crafts such as velvet flowers, diancui and beads. velvet flower, homophonic Ronghua, carrying the meaning of auspiciousness and blessing, is made of natural silk and copper silk, mostly shaped from the auspicious symbols in folk life. Diancui, the perfect combination of traditional Chinese metal and feather, is made of gold or gold-plating metal into the base of different patterns, and then the bright blue feathers on the back of the kingfisher are carefully inlaid here for making a variety of jewelry objects. Beading, also known as jump beads, refers to ornaments made of crystal, wood, agate, glass, and amber beads. After the Tang Dynasty, beads gradually developed into commercial handicrafts widely used in daily life.
