During June 7-June 11, the fifth Zijin Medal China (Nanjing) College Students Design Exhibition was held in Nanjing Planning and Construction Exhibition Hall. This activity was sponsored by the Publicity Department of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, Taiwan Affaires Office of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, organized by Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation. Speeches were delivered by Xu Ning, deputy director of the Publicity Department of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, started the design exhibition, Jiang Enlai, vice president and secretary-general of China Higher Education Society, and Ge Lai, Director of Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation.
Luo Yulan, vice president and member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of JSOU, and Yang Zhuo, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and director of the Publicity Department of JSOU, were invited to attend the opening ceremony. Teachers and students from the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, School of Architectural Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Environmental Ecology, School of Design, and School of Art participated. JSOU was awarded the Best Organization Award. This design exhibition focuses on new intelligence, new prospect and new future, and reflects the application and exploration of AIGC and other cutting-edge technologies. Three authoritative academic organizations including the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Design Majors of the Ministry of Education serve as the guiding units. More than 300 universities in China, including Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Nanjing University, Nanjing University of the Arts, Hong Kong University of Technology, Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and so on, gathered at the creative event in the field of higher education. With the theme of Design, Better Life, we participated in the exhibition. The School of Design curated the exhibition for the part of indoor independent exhibition and creative night school. The School of Architectural Engineering, School of Information Engineering, School of Environment, School of Ecology, School of Design and School of Art recommended 33 excellent works for the competition. Among them, 11 works won the Award of Excellence.
The creative Night School organized by JSOU provided high-quality aesthetic education for the public for five consecutive nights. The public can participate in the courses by lighting up the lifelong learner badge of Jiangsu Open University. This activity highlights the characteristics of our social education and makes an exploration to meet the public's yearning for more culture and more better life. The activity has attracted wide attention from CCTV News, China Central Radio Network, Xinhuanet, People's Daily New Media, etc.
