On the afternoon of May 17th, the "Macroeconomic Forum 2024" hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Macroeconomic Society was held in the lecture hall of Dinghuaimen Campus. This forum is guided by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences and the Counsellors' Office of the Provincial Government, and organized by JSOU, aiming for the high-quality development of enterprises through new quality productive force. The forum was presided over by Ding Rongyu, president of JSOU and vice president of Jiangsu Macroeconomic Society. Nearly 200 people from provincial government departments, institutions of higher learning, scientific research institutes, enterprises and institutions attended the meeting.
President of the society Li Kanzhen, in his speech, mentioned that macroeconomic forum is an important academic activity, serving the relevant departments and member units as a wide communication platform, promoting the in-depth dialogue and experience sharing between industries, assisting enterprises to explore new development path and valuable information, which injects new impetus and economic development in Jiangsu.
Zhang Xinke, secretary of the Party Group of the Provincial Federation of Social Science, fully affirmed the significance of the forum in his speech. He said that the academic event is a high-quality platform for promoting exchanges and cooperation in various fields and promoting economic development. In the forum, the topic of combining new quality productive forces and high-quality development of enterprises is the focus and hot spot of the current economic development, which can inspire enterprises to stimulate more innovative thinking and promote the high-quality development of enterprises.
During the keynote report, four representatives of outstanding entrepreneurs from Jiangsu Province delivered wonderful speeches. Xuzhou Mining Group party secretary Feng Xingzhen elaborated their high quality development path by focusing on the main business, cohesion reform and innovation to promote the well-being of the people's livelihood .
Wang Quande, general manager of Goldwind Technology Jiangsu Company, delivered a keynote report entitled science and technology innovation drives sustainable development of enterprises. He shared the innovation practice of Goldwind's three ventures in the field of wind power and the latest technological achievements and future development plans of the enterprise, emphasizing the key role of scientific and
technological innovation.
Wang Lei, co-founder and rotating CEO of Wanbang Digital Energy (Star Charging), delivered a report entitled "Smart Energy Network Helps Urban Low-carbon Development", which respectively introduced the double carbon pioneer practice of Asian digital energy unicorn enterprises from three aspects of Star Charging, Star Energy and Star Energy Carbon.
President Ding Rongyu emphasized in the conclusion that the innovative practice and successful experience of developing new quality productive forces in different fields provided new ideas and inspiration for the participants to achieve high-quality development in the new era. He stressed that the development of new quality productive forces in Jiangsu based on local conditions should be dominated by scientific and technological innovation, inject new momentum into the economic development with new factors, and realize the optimization and upgrading of the economic structure. We should attach great importance to artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, new energy and other aspects, and follow the trend of industrial changes for economic development. Talent is the basis of the development of new quality productive forces. Enterprises should cultivate comprehensive talents so as to reduce costs and enhance the quality and efficiency.
