New quality productive forces are essential for transforming China's development landscape, and its development involves complex system management. To foster communication among experts from various fields, a seminar was held on August 16 in Nanjing, organized by the Complex System Management Consortium (CSMC). JSOU’s President Ding Rongyu delivered a keynote speech discussing systematic pathways to enhance new quality productive forces.
In his speech, President Ding outlined three key areas: defining new quality productive forces as a complex system, identifying crucial elements for improvement, and proposing practical methods for regional development. He emphasized that new quality productive forces are dynamic and multi-faceted, requiring a systematic approach for collaboration among government, market, institutions, and the environment. President Ding also stressed the need for region-specific strategies, aligning with General Secretary Xi Jinping’s guidance. He urged Jiangsu not to simply copy models from other regions but to analyze its unique strengths for high-quality economic and social growth, employing a scenario-based method that considers macro, meso, and micro perspectives.
Established in November 2023, the CSMC includes over 20 member universities, such as Nanjing University and Tsinghua University. Its mission is to focus on innovative research, technological advancements, and practical applications in complex system management, aiming to enhance China’s influence in international academic discussions.
