Jiangsu Smart Transformation and Digital Networking Alliance for Industry-Education-Research-Training was Set Up

On September 5, the “AI + Entity Industry Application Innovation Conference” was held in Nanjing, along with the establishment ceremony of the Jiangsu Smart Transformation and Digital Networking Alliance for Industry-Education-Research-Training. The event was guided by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, Jiangsu Open University, and the People's Government of Gulou District, Nanjing. Over twenty representatives from alliance members, including university leaders, industry experts, and key enterprise figures, participated in the ceremony.

 

In his speech, President Ding Rongyu elaborated on the core concepts of “AI + entity” innovation applications—“leading” and “integration.” He emphasized that amidst rapid technological changes, the innovative application of AI not only drives societal progress but is also crucial for industry upgrades. Leading affirms AI’s role in exploring new frontiers and unlocking infinite possibilities for traditional industries, while integration is key to deeply embedding AI into industry chains to maximize its value.

The Alliance, launched by Jiangsu Open University in partnership with over 70 universities, enterprises, associations, and research institutions, focuses on leveraging AI to propel the intelligent transformation and digital upgrading of traditional industries. Key areas of focus include advanced manufacturing clusters and industrial chains in Jiangsu, as well as critical strategies in intelligent transformation, digital upgrading, and networked connections. The alliance is committed to resource sharing, coordinated efforts, and collaborative mechanisms among its members, driving synergy in strategic planning, talent training, and practical innovation, ultimately contributing to the advancement of new quality productive forces driven by AI.

Additionally, the Conference witnessed the launch of the “AI Large-Model Industrial Application and High-Quality Talent Development Project,” aimed at cultivating high-quality talent to support the digital economy's development. Leaders from various sectors pressed the start button for the project, seeking to foster a workforce capable of meeting the evolving needs of the digital economy.
