To enhance the professionalism of community teachers, and explore the new ideas of community education, the provincial community education seminar was successfully held in Nanjing from September 23 to 27. The event is guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and hosted by Jiangsu Open University. Ding Rongyu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, president of the University and director of the Provincial Guidance Center for Social Education Services, Liu Guiyou, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, vice president and executive deputy director of the Guidance Center for Social Education Services, Wu Shengdong, director of the Off-campus Supervision and Social Education Department of the Provincial Education Department, and Ji He, director of the Personnel Department and dean of the School of Public Administration attended the opening ceremony. More than 80 representatives from education administrative departments, higher vocational colleges, open universities, community colleges, and township community education centers throughout the province participated in the training. The training was presided over by Zhang Xuan, director of the Social Education Department and director of the Office of the Provincial Guidance Center for Social Education Services.

In the opening speech, Liu Guiyou expressed his sincere thanks to the experts and welcomed the teachers who participated in the training. The university has been striving for lifelong learning service and carrying out social education for all members of society. This seminar aims to improve the professionalism of community education in Jiangsu by means of lectures, on-site teaching and student contribution discussions. He hoped that everyone can update educational concepts, improve professional quality, innovate teaching methods, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and strive to inject new vitality and impetus into the cause of social education in our province.
Wu Shengdong said that social education, as an important part of education work, plays an irreplaceable role in promoting education and learning society. To promote the spirit of educators in work practice, build a better social education system and more popular social education curriculum for learners, and propel the digital-enabled education, teachers are supposed to explore and work together. Many experts and scholars and front-line teachers were invited to the event. The course is rich in content and the form is innovative. We hope that students can make full use of this platform to learn from each other.
After the opening, focusing on with a deep understanding of the theme and goals of the third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, we work to comprehensively deepen reform and promote the modernization of China , in the first lecture, Ding Rongyu gave a thorough interpretation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the principles of the Session. By combining it with grassroots community governance and community education, he expounded on the way to improve the political position of the community teachers, strengthen their overall consciousness and assist social governance with core socialist values, moreover, he also analyzed on how to respond to the learning needs of the public with the aid of artificial intelligence, optimize organizational management and working methods for the construction of a learning-oriented society.
Presidient Ding in a lecture
Aiming at the actual needs and confusion of community education teachers, this training focuses on the curriculum design of community education and the improvement of teachers' digital literacy, a number of experts gave special lectures. Professor Ji He, with the title of Artificial Intelligence-assisted Teaching and Research, tutored on the influence of technology, the particularity of community education, the power of artificial intelligence; Professor Song Yifang of Shanghai Open University, lectured on Teaching Design and Application of Community Education Curriculum, emphasizing the ability of community teachers from the three perspectives: design principle, teaching design optimization and experimental project promotion. Su Yan, head of Jiangsu Bureau of Guangming Daily, talked on Publicity Methods of Community Education and Teaching Activities under the New Situation, based on their own work practice and case, she explained to the students how to combine the national policies, explore the highlights of community education. Professor Zhang Yong of East China Normal University explained the construction and implementation of Community Education Curriculum. Professor Li Qing from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications launched the Interpretation of the Industry Standards of Teacher Digital Literacy from the aspects of its importance, definition, contents, and improvement. At the same time, Zhu Sunjun, director of the Department of Social Education of the School of Continuing Education of Yancheng Institute of Technology, Zhou Binbin, secretary of the General Branch of the Youth League of Jiangsu Accounting Vocational College, and Peng Jianming, vice president of the School of Medicine of Yangzhou Vocational University were invited to the meeting for an exchange.
Students are arranged to visit Xishanqiao Street of Yuhua District for on-site teaching. Through participating in the teaching activities, they learned to explore a new path for education to boost social governance.
