As the 37th AAOU Annual Conference kicked off from October 15 to 17 in Islamabad, Pakistan, JSOU Vice President Geng Huantong and representatives from various departments attended the event online.
Hosted by Allama Iqbal Open University, the conference attracted over 300 distance education experts and scholars from more than 20 countries, focusing on the theme “Expanding Horizons: Innovations in Open and Distance Learning”.
Four JSOU faculty members presented at parallel sessions, sharing insights on topics such as dilemmas in English learning in post Covid-19 era, collaborative assessment with ChatGPT 4.0, bibliometric analysis of open education research trends, and learning analysis using the OL-RFT model. Among them, Du Lirong received the Young Innovator Award Gold Prize for her paper.
As an AAOU member, JSOU demonstrated its academic strength and international influence in open education at this event. The participation also provided valuable opportunities to foster international collaboration and innovation in open education. JSOU remains committed to contributing to the growth and development of open education through active engagement in global organizations like AAOU.
