The 11th Jiangsu Internet Conference was held in Nanjing on October 30–31, focused on the theme “Integrating New Quality Productive Forces, Driving High-Quality Development”. The event featured multiple forums exploring future trends and challenges in the internet industry. JSOU President Ding Rongyu was invited to attend the opening ceremony and main forum.
Keynote speakers included Xu Ying, the Minister of Jiangsu Advocacy Department, who delivered opening remarks, and Shen Changxiang and You Xiaohu, academicians from Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively, who addressed topics about cybersecurity and 6G networks. The forum highlighted Jiangsu's commitment to advancing its digital economy, fostering a public digital culture, and enhancing digital literacy to benefit its residents.
JSOU has aligned itself with these developments by building a smart and innovative university. By founding a Modern Industry Academy for Smart Manufacturing, one of Jiangsu’s first such academies, it focuses on cultivating skilled on-site engineers with strong practical and lifelong learning capabilities. The university also leads the Jiangsu Smart Manufacturing and Digital Transformation Alliance, fostering collaboration between government, businesses, and academia to promote industrial digitalization. Through its Business School’s Innovation Ecosystem Research Institute, JSOU conducts researches in digital economy and AI, contributing decision-making reports that have received provincial recognition.
The university will deepen digital transformation efforts, refine its talent training systems, and conduct forward-looking researches to support Jiangsu’s ambitions as a leader in the digital era.
