On November 2, the 14th Challenge Cup National College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition, held at Xi'an Jiaotong University, concluded successfully. Over 3 million students from more than 2,700 universities and colleges participated, with 839 projects from 426 universities advancing to the Finals. JSOU secured its first-ever Gold Award in the main competition, marking a historic breakthrough.
The winning project, led by Ciren Quzong from Xizang and supported by teammates from Jiangsu, tackled the challenge of providing fresh vegetables to high-altitude communities in his hometown. With university-level support, the team spent two years developing innovative, low-cost solar heat storage technology for greenhouse transformation in Xizang. Their work has gained significant attention from experts and policymakers, receiving support from Jiangsu's aid program to Xizang.
JSOU prioritizes innovation and entrepreneurship education, integrating the Challenge Cup into its talent cultivation strategy. Throughout the competition, university leaders and faculty from related departments offered guidance and resources. Building on this success, JSOU will continue fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among its student body, encouraging more youngsters to contribute to national development through technological innovation.
