JSOU and JSBC Launch Strategic Partnership

To advance educational digitization and build a learning-oriented society that promotes lifelong learning for all, Jiangsu Open University and Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation officially launched a strategic partnership on December 29. The ceremony was attended by Jing Xuan, Party Secretary of JSOU; Ge Lai, Party Secretary and Chairman of JSBC; Ding Rongyu, President of JSOU; and Lu Feng, General Manager of JSBC, among others.

In his speech, Ding Rongyu emphasized that promoting lifelong learning for all and fostering cultural innovation and heritage have always been shared values and responsibilities of both parties. This strategic partnership aims to fully leverage their respective strengths in education and media to advance the development of a “digitally intelligent innovative university”. The collaboration will provide the public with greater access to learning opportunities and superior, more convenient educational resources, thereby facilitating the establishment of an inclusive and accessible lifelong education system and expanding the reach of public educational services.

Lu Feng stated that moving forward, JSOU and JSBC will build upon their existing collaboration, capitalizing on their respective strengths. By utilizing the comprehensive and robust multimedia platform of JSBC, the two parties will work together to promote the dissemination of learning resources, enhance cultural development, and provide stronger support for lifelong learning for all. This partnership also seeks to spread positive educational messages and contribute significantly to the construction of a learning-oriented society.

According to the Strategic Cooperation Agreement, the two institutions will establish mechanisms for collaborative efforts in program production, cultural development, and talent exchange. They will pool their resources to create a multimedia community, striving to build a “digitally intelligent innovative university” and a “nationally leading, new-generation multimedia group”. Ultimately, the collaboration seeks to benefit the public by improving access to quality education and advancing cultural literacy, contributing to the enhancement of lifelong education and cultural enrichment across Jiangsu Province.
