Recently, the 2024 China-CEEC Think Tank Round Table Conference on Innovation Cooperation & the Launch Ceremony of the China Innovation Tour for CEECs were held in Ningbo. The event gathered over 300 think tank representatives, experts, and scholars from Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries, as well as from China. Han Chenghui, Vice President of JSOU, attended the conference via video.

Under the theme “Think Tanks Leading Win-win Cooperation”, the conference focused on policies, pathways, and directions for innovation cooperation between China and CEE countries, as well as the construction of open and innovative ecosystems. Serving as a communication platform for think tanks, governments, and enterprises, the event aimed to promote high-quality development of China-CEEC innovation cooperation through the exchange of ideas and the building of consensus. The conference also featured the Launch Ceremony of the China Innovation Tour for CEECs and the founding of the Think Tank Alliance for Innovation Cooperation.

JSOU’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges actively applied for membership of the Alliance, and following approval by the China-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Research Center, the university was officially accepted. This marks a milestone that strengthens JSOU’s collaborations with CEE universities, expands its international partnerships, and enhances its global influence and reputation.

The Alliance, co-founded by 55 institutions—including 15 from CEE countries and 40 from China—aims to promote policy dialogue, personnel exchanges, mutual learning in technology, and the sharing of best practices. By organizing regular think tank seminars, matchmaking events, and collaborative research projects, the alliance will provide robust support for building an open and shared innovation ecosystem that serves both China and CEE countries.
