On December 19th, Party Secretary Jing Xuan was invited to attend the Gulou District Colleges and Institutes Party Building Coordination Meeting and Collaborative Innovation Development Alliance Conference in Nanjing. Nearly 100 guests from local universities, research institutes, and leading enterprises gathered to discuss and promote closer cooperation between universities and local governments.
Party Secretary Jing Xuan congratulated the successful convening of the conference. He emphasized the importance of building a strong educational foundation and aligning with national and provincial education goals. He highlighted the college's efforts to serve lifelong learning needs, enhance elderly education, and leverage digital empowerment for lifelong education in collaboration with Gulou District.
Jing Xuan expressed that our college has been deeply rooted in Gulou District for many years and values its cooperation and exchanges with the district. Looking forward, he hopes to further explore models of cooperation in elderly and lifelong education through the leadership of the Party Building Coordination Meeting for colleges and institutes and the support of the Collaborative Innovation Development Alliance. He aims to create a model district for elderly education, not only in the province but also nationwide, contributing to the happy chapter of Gulou people's livelihood.
To fully implement President Xi Jinping's directive for Jiangsu to lead in key areas, the Gulou District Colleges and Institutes Collaborative Innovation Development Alliance was established. JSOU, as one of the first members of the alliance, has actively engaged in the University Party Organizations Aligning with Industry Chain Party Organizations initiative over the past year. Our key achievements include: integrating into Gulou District's digital economy, information technology, and environmental sectors; establishing specialized industry colleges to solve regional technical challenges; collaboratively advancing the construction of a Famous Algorithm District. Several policy recommendations, such as Suggestions on Nanjing's Efforts to Build a National-Level 'Algorithm City', have received approvals from national, provincial, and municipal leaders.
