From March 1 to 2, the 19th Jiangsu Provincial College Student Career Planning Competition was held successfully in Nanjing. Huo Yunsi from JSOU, Changzhou Branch won a Gold Award in the Vocational Education Group, Employment Track. Hua Kexin from the university’s main campus earned a Bronze Award in the same category, while Lu Yuye and Chen Yujia, also from the main campus, received Bronze Awards in the Gowth Track, marking JSOU’s best performance ever in the competition.
The competition aimed to enhance college students’ career planning awareness, guide them to prepare early for employment, embrace new perspectives on career choices, and promote high-quality employment. Since the launch of the campus-level competition in June 2024, JSOU leadership has attached great importance to the event and made meticulous arrangements. The Student Affairs Office coordinated closely with schools and branches, integrating the competition with other initiatives such as the Campus Job Fair and Employability Training Camp. Experts were invited to provide one-on-one coaching to participants, offering comprehensive guidance on everything from career positioning and goal breakdown to polishing presentation materials. Multiple themed workshops and mock sessions were held to ensure thorough preparation.
In recent years, JSOU has remained committed to enhancing students’ overall competencies and career planning skills. Through career development and employment guidance courses, themed career planning activities, and school-enterprise cooperation platforms, the university has created a wealth of educational resources and hands-on opportunities for students, continuously improving students’ professional skills and employability, and laying a solid foundation for their future career development.
