Women's Radiance and Green Living: Floral Art Training Event Held to Celebrate Women's Day

To celebrate the 115th International Women's Day, enrich the spiritual and cultural life of female faculty members, enhance their artistic cultivation, and promote a green and healthy lifestyle, the union hosted a floral art training event titled Women's Radiance, Green Living on March 6th. The event took place in the staff cultural and sports activity room on the Dinghuai Gate Campus and was organized by the University Female Faculty Committee. University Party Committee member and Vice President Yang Yu participated along with over 30 female faculty members to experience the charm of floral art and appreciate the beauty of nature.

The event venue was filled with the fragrance of flowers, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. A florist introduced the characteristics and production techniques of preserved flowers, as well as floral design concepts, and demonstrated the steps for creating innovative floral art pieces. Under the guidance of the florist, the teachers fully utilized their imagination and creativity, carefully pairing everlasting flowers to create unique floral artworks.

This event not only provided participants with knowledge about floral art, but also helped them initially grasp the skills of flower arrangement and layout, enhancing their aesthetic literacy. More importantly, it offered a chance for relaxation and fostering communication among colleagues amidst their busy work schedules. Participants expressed that they deeply felt the warmth and care of the university community and would dedicate themselves steadfastly to their duties with diligence and commitment, contributing their utmost to the university's development. They pledged to practice green and environmentally friendly concepts in their daily lives, contributing to the construction of a beautiful campus and a beautiful China.

Over the years, the university union has consistently prioritized the physical and mental health as well as the cultural life of female faculty members. Every year during the International Women's Day period, the union organizes a variety of celebratory activities to extend holiday greetings and sincere respects to the hardworking female staff across different sectors of the university. Through various initiatives, the union continuously enhances the happiness and sense of belonging among female faculty members, encouraging them to engage fully and passionately in their work. This contributes to building a high-level open university, leveraging the significant contributions of women.
