To deepen educational reform and improve program development, Vice President Geng Huantong of Jiangsu Open University led delegations to Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information and Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering on April 22 and 25. The goal was to learn from their advanced practices in revising talent cultivation plans, monitoring teaching quality, and optimizing program structures, providing reference points for JSOU’s ongoing efforts.
At Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information, the team studied procedures for curriculum revision, including credit-hour balance, adjustments to general education courses, exam-to-assessment ratios, and strengthening formative evaluation. The group also visited industry-oriented colleges and examined the school’s layered teaching supervision system, mechanisms for addressing instructional issues, and integrated student management practices.
At Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering, the delegation explored approaches to developing program clusters, restructuring disciplines, innovating talent training models, and aligning curricula with regional industry needs. They also attended a presentation on building industry-oriented colleges and reviewed the institution’s teaching quality monitoring system and industry-education integration strategies.
