On April 9, a delegation from Guizhou Open University, led by their Party Committee Secretary Linghu Caitao, visited us for research and exchange. The visit was hosted by Party Committee Secretary and President Ding Rongyu. Standing Committee member and Vice President Luo Yulan attended the meeting, along with heads of relevant departments.
Ding Rongyu extended a warm welcome to Linghu Caitao and her delegation on behalf of the university, and provided a detailed introduction to the basic structure of our institution as well as its achievements in recent years in areas such as scientific research, open education, social education, elderly education, credit banking, and digital innovation. He noted that Guizhou Open University, as a representative open university in western China, has much to offer in terms of experience and practice that Jiangsu Open University can learn from and draw upon. He expressed the hope that both institutions would continue to share experiences, support each other’s development, and deepen cooperation in talent cultivation, system building, and elderly education, jointly exploring new paths for collaborative growth.
Vice President Luo Yulan shared the university's vision and strategies for building a digitally innovative open university. She emphasized that digital transformation should be advanced through deepening awareness, improving top-level design, and strengthening information technology infrastructure.
Linghu Caitao expressed sincere gratitude for the long-term support and assistance from JSOU, stating that the valuable experience of Jiangsu Open University offers important reference and inspiration for Guizhou Open University. She expressed the hope to further strengthen collaboration in areas such as sharing teaching resources, exchanging administrative staff, innovating social education, and promoting digital transformation in education, so as to ensure concrete outcomes from inter-university cooperation.
This visit served as a platform for in-depth communication between the two universities. It not only enhanced mutual understanding but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation across various fields. With joint efforts, it is believed that the exchanges and collaborations between the two institutions will continue to reach new heights, bringing fresh vitality to the cause of open education.
