On May 29, a delegation led by Zhou Liping, Vice Party Secretary of Sichuan Open University, visited Jiangsu Open University for research and exchange. The meeting was chaired by Ding Rongyu, Party Secretary and President of JSOU, with Liu Guiyou, Vice President, also attending.
Ding Rongyu welcomed the delegation on behalf of JSOU and provided an overview of the university’s history, features, positioning, and status quo. He emphasized the importance of integrating higher education, vocational education, and continuing education, fostering collaborative innovation, and continuously advancing the digitalization of education, with a focus on building a ubiquitous, accessible lifelong education system for all.
Liu Guiyou shared the university’s strategies and initiatives regarding talent recruitment and institutional mechanisms. He pointed out that breaking down institutional barriers, improving the quality of talent acquisition, and enhancing staff’s sense of belonging were crucial pathways for advancing the university’s high-quality development.
Zhou Liping expressed her gratitude for the experience-sharing from JSOU and introduced the practices of Sichuan Open University in terms of its educational positioning and development direction. The two sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on specific issues related to talent management, and faculty administration.
The delegation also visited the Credit Bank and the Resource Construction Center.
