On May 20, a delegation from Hebei Open University, led by President Tian Xuebin, visited Jiangsu Open University for research and exchange. The meeting was hosted by Party Secretary and President Ding Rongyu, with Vice Party Secretary Niu Yutao and Vice President Geng Huantong also in attendance.
Ding Rongyu extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided an overview of the university’s history, features, organization, enrollment, and digital transformation efforts. He emphasized that digitalization in education is a crucial foundation for building a strong educational nation. He highlighted that open universities must change their mindset, update knowledge reserve, and advance practical operations. JSOU is committed to focusing on its mission and driving quality improvement and innovation in open education through digitalization. This includes: anchoring regional needs and deepening systemic reforms; focusing on AI applications for teachers to reshape the educational ecosystem; and strengthening quality assurance and solidifying the foundation of talent.
Tian Xuebin expressed gratitude for the experience-sharing and introduced Hebei Open University’s practices in system construction and digital transformation. During the meeting, Niu Yutao and Geng Huantong also shared insights on campus construction and educational management. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on system development, information technology construction, talent cultivation, and other topics.
