From August 28 to 31, the Finals of the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition – Logistics and Supply Chain Track (Higher Vocational Division) was successfully held at Zhangzhou Institute of Technology. The team from Jiangsu Open University (JSOU) performed impressively, securing a Silver Medal with a second place in their group. This achievement represents a historic breakthrough for the university—not only is it the first national award in this track, but it is also the first time JSOU has earned a national-level award since the competition was upgraded to the World Vocational College Skills Competition.

The World Vocational College Skills Competition, jointly organized by 35 national entities including the Ministry of Education, National Development and Reform Commission, and Ministry of Science and Technology, is regarded as the Olympics of vocational education. It stands out for its wide professional coverage, large number of participants, and significant societal impact. This year’s Logistics and Supply Chain Track attracted 131 teams and 521 students from across China.
JSOU’s team consisted of four students from the Business School. They were coached by teachers Sheng Xin and Wang Songlin. Throughout the competition, the students demonstrated composure, teamwork, and a strong command of professional skills.

This success was made possible through comprehensive institutional support and dedicated teamwork. During the preparation phase.
This award not only highlights the professional competence of JSOU students but also reflects the effectiveness of the university’s educational reforms. Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, JSOU will use this achievement as a foundation to further deepen industry-education integration, establish a systematic selection and training mechanism for competitions, and concentrate resources on high-level skill contests.
