On November 7, JSOU held the opening ceremony for the Digital Course Resource Production Camp & "Wisdom in Education" Forum on Digital Educational Resources at Dinghuaimen Campus. Attendees included Ding Xiaochang, President of Jiangsu Higher Education Association; Zhang Tun, Director of OUC Digital Learning Resources Center; Wang Zhijun, professor at Jiangnan University; and Chen Li, Vice President of China Association for Educational Technology (via video). JSOU President Zhang Yingchun delivered opening remarks, while Vice Presidents Geng Huantong and Luo Yulan participated in the event, joined by over 100 faculty members and digital resource leaders.

President Zhang discussed JSOU’s strategy for digital transformation amid AI advancements, stressing three priorities: shifting from technology adoption to pedagogy-driven design, cultivating educators as digital course developers, and fostering cross-sector collaboration to build an open innovation ecosystem. She emphasized empowering teachers through training and institutional support to strengthen JSOU’s digital education leadership.
Ding Xiaochang and Zhang Yingchun jointly inaugurated the Forum. Ding highlighted JSOU’s pioneering role in digital education and the initiative’s value for teacher development. Chen Li reaffirmed national support for JSOU’s work, advocating pedagogy-first approaches, AI literacy enhancement, and collaborative innovation.

At the event, 20 outstanding Doctoral Micro-Lectures (out of 100 produced) received awards for excellence in digital course design. Keynote speeches were delivered by Zhang Tun (Resource Development in Smart Education) and Wang Zhijun (Online Course Design for the AI Era), with case studies shared by JSOU faculty.

The month-long Digital Camp, running parallel to the forum, will provide training in nine areas—from AI tools to multimedia production—to develop educators’ competencies and expand JSOU’s digital course designer workforce.
