JSOU Delegation Visits Tianmushan Laboratory

On October 31, Vice President Zhang Xiao led a delegation from JSOU to Tianmushan Laboratory in Zhejiang Province for collaborative discussions on technology development, commercialization, and research institution management in low-altitude economy. Representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, School of Information Engineering, Intelligent Construction and Blockchain Innovation Research Center, and Office of Scientific Research participated.

Vice President Zhang introduced JSOU’s strengths in applied research and industry collaboration, including its engagement with enterprises through technical consulting and commercialization initiatives. She emphasized the value of Tianmushan Laboratory’s expertise in operational models and low-altitude technology development, proposing accelerated negotiations on a strategic partnership agreement.

Tianmushan Laboratory Party Secretary Ma Chaoli outlined the lab’s evolution since its 2022 founding, detailing its shift from green supersonic aviation to low-altitude economy applications. The lab has developed drones covering water-based, vertical takeoff/landing, and gliding configurations with multiple propulsion systems, establishing leading technical capabilities.

Both sides reached preliminary agreements on joint research institutes, postdoctoral training, and specialized workshops in low-altitude technologies. The visit established a foundation for sustained collaboration in industry-relevant R&D and talent development.
