The Department of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province recently announced the 2025 Jiangsu Industry-University-Research Collaboration Program project list. Jiangsu Open University (JSOU) secured 62 approved projects, ranking fourth among universities and colleges in the province, reflecting its strong performance in serving regional industries and advancing the transaction of scientific and technological achievements.
As a guidance program under the Department, the 2025 initiative focuses on three areas: implementation of corporate chief technology officers, matchmaking through industry-university-research conferences, and technology transaction and transfer. JSOU’s approved projects include 51 in the corporate CTO category, seven in the conference matchmaking category, and four in technology transaction, demonstrating the university’s technical service capabilities in key industries such as artificial intelligence, new materials, intelligent manufacturing, and environmental governance.
In 2026, the university will accelerate the implementation of its Industry-Research Integration Action Plan, guiding faculty teams to conduct targeted research and translate outcomes in key regional industries. It will further deepen collaborative innovation among government, industry, academia, research, and application, adhering to the principle of “identifying real needs, conducting genuine research, and solving practical problems,” with the goal of enhancing its service capacity, and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into new productive forces.
