Recently, the Third National College Student Career Planning Competition and the 20th Jiangsu Provincial College Student Career Planning Competition finals concluded successfully in Nanjing. Our students delivered outstanding performances: Yi Junya from Changzhou branch won a silver award (Employment Track, Vocational Group), Chang Xinran from the School of Architectural Engineering won a silver award (Growth Track, Vocational Group), and Jia Wei from the School of Arts won a bronze award (Growth Track, Vocational Group)..
The competition, hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, was themed Building Dreams for Youth, Planning for the Future. It attracted over 1.148 million students from 167 universities across the province.
JSOU launched career planning activities in April 2025, organizing school-wide and college-level events in career education, employment guidance, and competition selection. Over 7,500 students registered, creating a strong atmosphere of career awareness and planning. After multiple rounds of selection, four students were recommended for the provincial competition, with two advancing to the finals.
During preparation, instructors provided dedicated guidance while students trained intensively. The Student Affairs Office organized multiple rounds of mock roadshows and defense sessions, inviting external career planning experts. Through realistic simulations and precise feedback, students significantly improved their career planning content, logical expression, response strategies, and overall presentation skills.
JSOU will continue to promote the philosophy of enhancing learning, teaching, and employment through competition to help students achieve higher-quality employment.
