On March 19, the China Adult Education Association (CAEA) held a research meeting in Beijing on the Project for Empowering High-Quality Development of the Low-Altitude Economy. Representatives from 16 universities, vocational colleges, and enterprises attended. JSOU was represented by Zhang Zhaozhao, Deputy Director of the Training Center; Xu De, Executive Director of the Provincial Professional and Technical Talent Continuing Education Base; and Liu Gaolu, Executive Director of the School of Design's Training Center.
Zhao Yuejin, Vice President and Secretary-General of CAEA, encouraged universities to participate in lifelong learning brand projects and called for developing Chinese-featured textbooks on drone education. Li Ronghua, project leader of the Empowering Low-Altitude Economy Project, introduced the project in detail. Approved by CAEA, it focuses on low-altitude economy talent needs, targeting six entities: universities, vocational colleges, open universities, community colleges, training institutions, and enterprises. The three-year project aims to build a three-tier training system (basic skills, specialized abilities, high-end innovation) and a collaborative ecosystem involving institutions, enterprises, governments, and associations.
As the only open university invited, JSOU shared its educational positioning, strengths, and preliminary achievements in the low-altitude economy. It also proposed exploring continuing education going global models and expanding international cooperation for talent cultivation, which resonated with attendees.
In his summary, Tan Xiangdong, CAEA Vice President and Director of the Low-Altitude Economy and Intelligent Applications Committee, stated that the association will develop talent training standards, produce authoritative textbooks, conduct tiered dual-teacher training, expand application scenarios, compile case studies, and share replicable experiences.
