Recently, the results of the 2025 Higher Education Press Cup National College Mathematical Modeling Competition (Jiangsu Region) were announced. Our students stood out among thousands of teams and won a third prize, demonstrating the university's achievements in mathematics teaching and innovative talent cultivation.

The National College Mathematical Modeling Competition is one of the largest and most influential science and technology competitions in China. It aims to motivate students to learn mathematics, enhance their ability to solve practical problems using mathematical models and computer technology, and guide students to participate in extracurricular scientific and technological practice. The competition uses a unified national problem design format, with problems drawn from real-life production scenarios. Participating teams must complete mathematical model construction, problem-solving, and paper writing within three days, placing high demands on students' comprehensive abilities and practical skills.

The School of Education, led by the Science Literacy Department and supported by the School of Architectural Engineering, School of Information Technology, and Business School, established a systematic training mechanism of recruitment-training-competition. The school provided comprehensive and systematic pre-competition guidance for students through various formats such as lectures, typical case study analysis, and full simulation training, focusing on core areas including mathematical model construction, data processing methods, and paper writing standards, supporting students throughout their competition preparation.
