On April 10, the launching ceremony of the Jiangsu Industrial AI Industry-Education Integration Community and the Embodied Intelligence Robot Practice and Innovation Class was held at Jiangsu Open University. The event was guided by provincial education, industry and information technology, and human resources departments, co-organized by JAKA Robotics, and supported by over ten institutions including Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Estun Automation. Attendees included provincial government officials, industry representatives, and university leaders. The event was hosted by Geng Huantong, Party Standing Committee Member and Vice President of JSOU.
The Community, led by Jiangsu Open University in collaboration with over 50 universities, industry leaders, and alliances including Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, JAKA Robotics, and Estun Automation, aims to connect education, talent, industry, and innovation chains, creating a new ecosystem for collaborative talent cultivation.
At the event, the Community and the Innovation Class training base were inaugurated. Four technical experts from industry were appointed as 3,000 Jiangsu Open Professors. JSOU signed cooperation agreements with three industry-leading enterprises and three city/county open universities. The official release of the Embodied Intelligence Robot Practice and Innovation Class Talent Training Plan marked the transition of industry-education integration from consensus building to substantive operation.
Ding Rongyu, Party Secretary of Jiangsu Open University, stated that the Community will focus on resource sharing, standard co-development, and joint talent cultivation, building an integrated industry-job-ability-course training system. He emphasized that JSOU aims to transform industry-education integration from cooperative relationships to an industrial community, establishing the Innovation Class as a flagship model for embodied intelligence talent cultivation in Jiangsu.
