On April 10, the Xiongfei (Gaoyou) Drone Flight Academy was inaugurated at the Jiangsu Gaoyou Rural Revitalization Training Base. The event was attended by representatives from government, universities, industry associations, enterprises, and the media, along with the inaugural cohort of trainees.
The academy adopts the successful model of the Shanghai Lingang Industrial University—namely a virtual campus with physical operations, industry-education integration, and innovation-driven development. It aims to serve as a platform bridging market demand and talent cultivation, as well as connecting technological application with industrial upgrading. The academy seeks to establish an intelligent drone training hub, nurture high-skilled talent for the low-altitude economy, and focus on real-world applications such as smart plant protection, low-altitude logistics, and emergency response. It also explores new pathways for rural revitalization, including village-level low-altitude services, and aims to build a sustainable industrial ecosystem integrating training, application, services, data, and cultural tourism, with the goal of supporting agricultural and rural modernization in the region.
