On the morning of June 9, the 19th International Archives Day, Jiangsu Open University and the Jiangsu Provincial Archives signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Archives' premises. Party Secretary Ding Rongyu and President Zhang Yingchun witnessed the signing, while Vice President Luo Yulan of JSOU and Deputy Director Xue Chungang of the Jiangsu Provincial Archives signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
Prior to the agreement, the Business School, with support from the university leadership, worked closely with the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Archives to secure accreditation as a vocational skill level certification body for Archives Digitalization Managers and as a developer of the certification question bank. The question bank passed review in April 2026, and the certification body accreditation passed review in May. In June, the Business School successfully conducted a pilot training program for Archives Digitalization Managers.
Under the agreement, both sides will collaborate on certification of Archives Digitalization Managers, organization of provincial professional title examinations for archivists, and continuing education and specialized training for archival personnel. Through resource integration and project collaboration, they aim to build a comprehensive talent cultivation system to support the digital transformation of Jiangsu's archival sector.
