On May 8, the first session of the Embodied Intelligence Robotics Practice Innovation Class, under the Technical Industry College for Digital and Intelligent Transformation of Manufacturing, was held at the Yingtian Campus. The ceremony was attended by JSOU Party Secretary and Industry College Dean Ding Rongyu, Vice President Geng Huantong, along with leadership and faculty from the School of Information Engineering and the Industry College. The event was hosted by Huang Li, Dean of the School of Information Engineering and Executive Dean of the Industry College.

In his opening address, Honorary Mentor Ding Rongyu noted that the ongoing technological and industrial transformation is reshaping economic and social structures, accelerating the shift toward an intelligent economy. He identified embodied intelligence robotics as a core technology in next-generation intelligent manufacturing, essential for industrial upgrading and high-quality development. He emphasized that this is the university's first practice-oriented innovation class under its industry-education integration framework, with three additional classes planned to explore new pathways for collaboration. The program is designed to be practice-driven, interdisciplinary, and focused on developing high-quality technical talent equipped to meet industry demands. He encouraged students to make the most of this opportunity, set high goals, build strong skills, and contribute to the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing sector.

Huang Li then outlined the program’s curriculum and core objectives, noting that the college will integrate resources from both the university and industry partners to establish a practice-oriented training system that offers real-world learning environments, helping students enhance their professional competencies and employability.
