On August 26, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) announced its 2026 funding results. JSOU received six grants—one General Program and five Young Scientists Fund (Category C) projects—totaling 2.02 million yuan. Both the number of projects and annual funding reached record highs.
The number of JSOU projects doubled from three in each of 2024 and 2025 to six in 2026. The university also received a General Program again after a three-year gap, with total funding reaching a record high. The results reflect JSOU's growing research and innovation capacity and the effectiveness of its organized research efforts. Going forward, the university will align with its 15th Five-Year Plan, strengthen research management and services, and pursue new breakthroughs in high-level projects, platforms, outcomes, and technology services.
