From September 12 to 13, JSOU welcomed 2,538 new students for the 2026 academic year at its Qiaolin Campus, marking the campus’s first intake of new students.

University Leadership Visits Frontline Services
During the orientation period, JSOU Party Secretary Ding Rongyu and President Zhang Yingchun visited the main reception station in Building 7 of Rongchuang Hall, college reception points, dormitories, and dining facilities. They inspected registration procedures, service support, and campus order, and spoke with new students and parents about their travel and arrival experiences. They also reminded staff and volunteers to provide attentive and thorough service to ensure a safe and orderly orientation.

Comprehensive Support for New Students
JSOU coordinated resources across departments to support the entire registration process. A smart orientation system streamlined online pre-registration and simplified on-campus procedures. The main reception station offered service windows for green channels, major transfer inquiries, and top-up degree program consultations, along with welcome packages and informational materials on financial aid, mental health, and military recruitment.
Transportation services included pick-up points at major railway and bus stations, shuttle buses from nearby metro stations, and on-campus shuttles for luggage transfer. Dining halls remained open throughout the day, campus shops were stocked with daily necessities, and dormitories were cleaned and inspected in advance. Mail delivery for large luggage was also available.
Over a hundred student volunteers supported operations at stations, campus entrances, reception halls, and dormitories, helping new students navigate the campus and easing their transition.

College-Specific Orientation Activities
Colleges incorporated professional guidance and personal support into the registration process. The School of Digital Intelligence Business, for example, set up a signature wall and photo props, distributed talent development plans to each new student, and provided academic planning consultations to help students clarify their goals from the start.

The arrival of the first cohort of students brings new vitality to the Qiaolin Campus. JSOU will continue to improve educational quality and student development as it enters this new phase of operation.
