On October 22, JSOU Party Secretary Ding Rongyu visited the “one-stop” student community at the Qiaolin Campus and shared lunch with 2026 incoming student representatives, listening to their concerns and discussing their growth.
During the meal, Ding asked about students’ academic adjustment, campus dining, and extracurricular activities. In a relaxed atmosphere, students shared their experiences regarding coursework, logistics support, and campus life, and offered suggestions on the development of the Qiaolin Campus and student services. Ding acknowledged their input, responded to each point, and assigned relevant departments to study and follow up on the issues raised.
Ding expressed satisfaction with the students’ positive outlook and offered five expectations: first, practice self-discipline and focus on academic growth; second, build a solid professional foundation and plan further studies; third, stay physically active, be confident, and broaden their horizons; fourth, value relationships with peers and teachers and learn from one another; and fifth, engage with Nanjing’s cultural character, develop humanistic literacy, and integrate their youthful efforts into the university’s development.
The event served as a platform for face-to-face communication between university leadership and students, further opening channels for students to raise issues and offer suggestions, and helping address practical concerns. JSOU will continue to innovate and expand such activities to create a better learning and living environment for students.
The event was attended by heads of the School Office, Student Affairs Office, Security Office, Academic Affairs Office, Logistics Office, and Qiaolin Campus Comprehensive Office.
